The front forks should be lowered considerably. No need for all that travel. It will help keep the weight bias towards the hill and, therefore, able to climb better without looping out. As well keeping the riders' feet closer to the ground for when dabbing is needed.

Have a maico rt 490 1982 she oldy but been gone through also have 87cr480r between the 2 the maico is the devil's bike has so much raw power I'm not a pro rider at all I just like rare bikes. Cr ain't no joke either. Maico has the loudest ping I've ever heard from 2stroke

have and ride a 86 250r, great shape and fun as hell to ride. have and ride a mint 84 big red 200 shaft, high low and reverse, and a second mint 200 chain drive, going after a nice 70 tomorrow I hope. there's rumored to be one in a crate in my town, but I expected to see out and about when his father passed and it never showed. I'm curious what the guy would have to have for that if he was to sell it. I'd guess 50 grand but wouldn't be surprised if it could fetch a quarter million.

I am sorry gents but I have to call BS! You can just listen to the sounds of the bikes when shown and how the 500 is not being rode as hard as the 250 is. Also the rider on the 500 seemed to be sandbagging but that is just my opinion.

Look at difference the size of the dirtbike and the Ryder and that bike still halls ass and clears the jumps why because YAMAHA!!! RULES!!!

My brother sold his YZF 450 that he only rode twice for $2,000 it was mint and a 2010 it sat in his garage for years. I couldn’t believe him selling it cheap and not to me. But gone now. So there are some ignorant people like my bro that do sell cheap.

Not rare in your world, but I own a 1980 Maico MC440 that looks quite nice, and are the only road registered example in Norway.

I have a nice 1980 Maico MC440. The biggest from Maico before the 490 came in -81. And it is even "road legal".
